Social tolerance, the right of persons with disabilities to participate in a variety of (outdoor) leisure activities, autonomous and independent lifestyles and sports therapy activities, and benefit from better accessibility and more inclusion in society – these are the goals of PERPATO, an association that was founded in 2002.
PERPATO also supports training for young people with and without a disability. Its training centre KEADA and accessible clubhouse both offer overnight accommodation and physiotherapy. Through PERPATO, interested persons with and without a disability as well as students of social work, sports, physiotherapy and medicine can complete internships, training camps, workshops and awareness courses and familiarise themselves with caring for persons for disabilities, the everyday lives of persons living with a disability, and disabled sports. PERPATO also provides hands-on assistance for persons with a physical disability who thus have an opportunity to manage their disability on their own.
